About Kathryne Pruitt

A career in healthcare led Kathryne Pruitt to cross paths with Junior League of The Woodlands’ Healing Hearts Committee in 2011. That chance meeting began what is now 10 years of service to the community through JLTW programs. Kathryne has served the League through various leadership roles in finance, communications, strategic planning, and community programs. Most notably, Kathryne served as the Communications VP on the 2017-2018 JLTW Board, received Active of the Year 2019, and is currently serving as the 2021-2022 JLTW President.

Kathryne graduated with a B.S. in Health Science Studies from Baylor University and both a Master of Healthcare Administration and Master of Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University. Her love of service flourished at Baylor University through her involvement in Chi’s Service Sorority, where she received numerous volunteer awards. She continues this love of service as President of Junior League of The Woodlands and by serving on St. Peter’s United Methodist Church Council. She does all of this while also maintaining a full-time position at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she has dedicated 8 of the last 13 years of her healthcare career.

Most importantly she fills the role of mom to her six-year-old daughter Kaylin, who recently started first grade, and wife to her husband Charlie of 9 years. Even though she and her family relocated to Katy almost three years ago, her passion for JLTW has kept her just as involved as ever – with a little help from the Grand Parkway!
